Ken received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Simon Fraser University under the supervision of Prof. X. Joan Hu and Prof. Tim Swartz. His research focuses on statistical modeling for dynamic systems, with applications in environmental public-health surveillance and sports analytics. He is broadly interested in Bayesian methods, stochastic-process modeling, and time-to-event analysis. Ken is currently working with Prof. Robert Delatolla’s group on developing spatio-temporal models for wastewater-based surveillance to support public-health decision making. Outside of research, Ken is also a competitive powerlifting athlete.
